Open Question: does it matter where you live?

so i live in howard county aka columbia maryland (the second best place to live in the Unites States) and i live in an apartment. its its about 1,500 a month. my mom moved here cause shes a single mom. and only has one income and only me and her live in here. i feel embarrassed that i live in an apartment..my boyfriend of 7 months wants to take me to his familys pool party but i dont want to go because he would have to drop me off at the end of the night.....
